Mogao Cave 465 Conservation Project, Dunhuang, Gansu, China

Following the on-site workshop from 8th – 21st September 2012, a second workshop on the conservation of Mogao Cave 465 was scheduled in Dunhuang from 6th – 23rd June 2013. As in the previous year the project was jointly organized by the Dunhuang Academy (DHA) and the Isabel & Balz Baechi Foundation (IBBF). Results of the workshop in 2013 identify further areas of investigations of the wall painting conditions and define approaches for future comprehensive investigations. The aim of the project is to develop a comprehensive conservation plan suitable for the special conditions of Cave 465.
